Chapter 802 - 802: Void Ants Evolution

Chapter 802 - 802: Void Ants Evolution

The Void Ants’ potential was no weaker than the Eryndor race he’d once created.

Though they weren’t built for battle, their auxiliary talents were perfectly aligned with the path of knowledge.

Once they broke into the Tier 11 realm and condensed their will and origin, they could easily master various professions.

What made them truly dazzling, though, was their learning speed.

In just a few hundred thousand years, Orion, the most gifted among them, had already become a Tier 12 mechanic and alchemist.

At this rate, given a few million years, Orion might master every profession in the Aeon Plane up to Tier 12.

Of course, reaching the peak of any profession would still take time. But even so, Orion’s growth had already left Maximus in awe.

More importantly, the reason Maximus could part with these Tier 12 dark beast corpses without hesitation because these void ants could quickly condense a path of law.

Mastering Mechanics and Alchemy to the Tier 12 Realm, Orion easily condensed his path of law.

Having two top professions, Orion even directly became a master of the Ocean of Law.

The other Void Ants who followed in his footsteps weren’t bad either. Most of them were already beginning to become masters of the River of Law.

With such a capable group of top auxiliary workers under his command, Maximus was more than willing to give them everything they needed.

Meanwhile, returning to the Dimensional Space with over a thousand Tier 12 dark beast carcasses, Orion couldn’t hide his excitement.

“Orion, you’re back! What did Master give you this time?”

“Huh? Are those Tier 12 dark beasts?!”

Knowing Orion had been summoned by their master, the other Void Ants eagerly awaited his return.

Now, seeing him arrive carrying such a heavy load, the Tier 11 Void Ants burst with excitement.

“Master gave them to us. Come help distribute them,” Orion said, smiling as he handed out the corpses.

Like a parent returning home with food for his children, Orion was beaming as he divided the haul among his tribe.

Having a unity like no one else, the Void Ants instinctively passed the carcasses to those about to advance to the Tier 11 realm.

As for themselves, even if there were benefits to be had, they weren’t greedy. They prioritized those who needed it most.

Having Orion as their strongest representative was enough. The strength of the Void Ants didn’t lie in individual might, but in numbers and unity.

If they had millions of Tier 11 Void Ants who reached the Absolute Realm, even if they were the weakest type, they could still suppress everyone.

Besides, their master didn’t rely on them for brute force but for their skills.

Instead of one Void Ant who could dominate, their master preferred two more who could build, craft, and think.

If not for the sake of appearances when representing their master outside, Orion wouldn’t even have kept a share for himself.

Unfortunately, to maintain face, he had no choice but to consume several hundred Tier 12 dark beast corpses to further hone his talents.

Soon, after absorbing the remains, hundreds of Void Ants advanced to the Tier 11 realm one after another.

“Good. Take the new ones and give them the initiation,” Orion instructed.

Though even the lower-tier Void Ants were conscious, before reaching Tier 11, they mostly operated on instinct.

Without proper training, each newly advanced ant needed reeducation, especially on the greatness of their master. Such reverence had to be ingrained in both their heart and flesh.

After assigning duties to his tribesmen, Orion returned to his nest.

The Dimensional Space was once just a storage space tied to their master’s system.

But after their master fully understood the structure of the system, he severed it from the system and fused directly to his origin.

Bathed in Maximus’s essence and will, the space gradually evolved into a semi-dimension.

It carried all the laws of the Aeon Plane but stood as its own independent domain, accessible only by the Void Ants.

Flying to the ever-expanding World Tree at the center of the Dimensional Space, Orion finally reached his nest.

“Ahhh… I can finally get back to my studies,” he said, smiling in relief as he settled into the familiar surroundings.

Having no real use for the World Tree, Maximus gifted it to Orion as a nest.

After all, having collected nearly every ultimate treasure in the Aeon Plane—a World Tree, barely ranked in the top ten thousand, wasn’t worth keeping.

Unless Maximus could deduce a method to let it grow to a Tier 13 treasure, it was better left growing in the ever-expanding Dimensional Space.

Back at his nest, Orion went to the Array Zone Area and quickly picked up a book.

“Hah~ Studying really is the best.”

Settling into a comfortable position, he dove into deep concentration.

A thousand years later…

“This one is too mysterious…”

After a thousand years of relentless deduction and analysis, Maximus was still unable to identify the other tier 13 material.

Fortunately, he still managed to deduce how he could use the other one.

Glancing at Nero secluded in a different room, a smile returned to his face.

“Hah! That brat really knows how to brag.”

He remembered Nero boldly claiming he’d crack the first encryption layer of the Heavenly System in just a few hundred years.

Now, a full thousand years had passed, Nero didn’t even seem halfway there.

“Looks like my son are getting complacent,” Maximus muttered.

Rising from his seat, he went to check on his family’s progress.

“How’s it going? Any problems so far?”

“No problems,” Iris said, unable to hide her excitement. “We’ve managed to reach 3% efficiency in extracting plane origin from the Chaos Grass.”

“3%? Not bad! I thought you’d only hit 1% at best.”

A 3% yield meant that for every fully mature Chaos Grass ready to multiply, they could extract 0.3 units of plane origin.

That might seem small, but once the Chaos Grass multiplied to uncountable numbers, the total harvest could become limitless.

Of course, growth still required chaos energy. The supply within the Aeon Plane was simply limited, not enough to fuel their infinite reproduction.

To keep harvesting at scale, Maximus would eventually have to draw in chaos energy from the chaotic void.

Still, even this limited setup was something Archons would drool over.

If their efficiency kept improving, they might one day harvest trillions of units of plane origin per second, just from Chaos Grass.

For now, they could only let the grass slowly multiply and continue refining their extraction methods.

Unfortunately, dark energy couldn’t be converted into plane origin. If it could, even if it had a lower yield, Maximus was willing to prioritize it.

Chaos energy, while dangerous and volatile, was still beneficial to a plane. But dark energy? It’s pure destructive.

After checking everyone’s progress, his family turned their attention to him with curiosity.

“Did you figure out what those two unknown materials are yet?”

“I’ve only managed to identify one. Still no clue about the other.”

“That’s good enough, we’ve got time to figure out the rest.”

“Come on, enlighten us—what kind of treasure is it?”

They weren’t disappointed about the unknown material; they were more eager to learn about the one Maximus had identified.

“It’s an expandable material…”

“What?! An Expandable material?!”
