Chapter 1069: Chapter 620: Humanoid Shadow, Wolf Pack’s Countermove._2

Shadow Unit One and the Wolf Pack Faction wreaked havoc across the battlefield of the Theological Alliance, expanding their destructive impact mercilessly.

Though the Black Demon Mink remained unseen, the entirety of Shadow Unit One within the Wolf Pack had received a covert order, propelling their operations into motion!

A considerable number of mid-level War Generals simultaneously betrayed the alliance, igniting several covertly crafted nuclear weapons from within, inflicting devastating damage on the Theological Alliance’s Great Army.

“We can’t hold on! Since when did the Wolf Pack plant so many undercover agents within our alliance?”

“What on earth is the Deity doing? Does it truly take this long to kill a Lone Wolf King? We’re at our breaking point—our losses are catastrophic!”

“I’m starting to wonder—did the Deity’s True Body ever emerge in the first place? If it had, surveying the entire world, who could stand against the Deity? The Deity could easily unleash a bloodbath across the world!”

…..

The countless True Gods on the battlefield roared in anguish, their voices hoarse.

The scale of this apocalyptic battle had exceeded anything they ever anticipated!

Were they truly on the verge of defeat?

Though both their True Bodies and Humanoid Shadows were indifferent to the fate of the species in this world—even the lives of the fanatical believers who revered them as divine—they cared deeply about the outcome of this war!

At the Northern Border of the Dragon Country, they had already suffered defeat at the hands of the Wolf Pack Civilization once before. If they were to lose again now, how could the Theological Alliance ever realize a blood sacrifice under heaven?

The intricate web of plans laid across the world by the Theological Alliance—all of them would be reduced to dust.

The altars secretly erected, the priceless Essence of the Blood River painstakingly gathered—all would be made a gift for someone else.

They, too, would be hunted down and driven from this plane of existence, forced to abandon this realm altogether. Their aspirations to transform this world into a faction of their own civilization would dissolve like smoke.

Reclaiming their foothold in this domain in the future? Utterly impossible!

Thus, the True Gods roared in relentless fury, their eyes bloodshot, fighting with a desperation that transcended the fear of death.

After all, within this realm, none of them were anything more than manifestations of Humanoid Shadows utilizing the power of engineered Divine Servants; none were True Bodies!

“Theological Alliance, fight with me! Light shall never fade; faith shall always endure!”

“The Deity reigns supreme! Together, we shall transcend! Once the evil Wolf Pack is vanquished, the world will be ours—we will craft a utopia!”

“Charge! Anyone who dares retreat, anyone who dares defy their faith—kill them without mercy!”

…..

One by one, the True Gods, through shouts of coercion, manipulation, and promises of reward, galvanized the troops of the Theological Alliance into a ferocious head-on clash with the elite forces of the Wolf Pack Civilization.

For if the army of the Theological Alliance fell, no matter how powerful the individual True Gods were, they would stand no chance against the nearly hundred million elite forces imbued with the fortune of the Wolf Pack!

Not to mention those nearly hundred million elite forces!

Even a single Wolf Pack Faction—ruthless and split into smaller units of over a hundred Exotic Beasts, supported by cutting-edge Fortune Formations—could overpower one, even two True Gods!

In the heavens above, such brutal Wolf Pack factions were essentially unparalleled elites!

Amidst the deafening roar of nearly two to three hundred True Gods, the chaotic battlefield slowly began to stabilize.

Three hundred million against eighty million!

And still, even being closer to the Theological Alliance’s headquarters at the Destiny Stone, they could only barely reach a stalemate. The True Gods could hardly fathom that, under fair circumstances of battle, the entire Theological Alliance might indeed be completely flattened by this Wolf Pack army!

Meanwhile, the heavens above continued to host a battle of unfathomable magnitude, one that threatened to upheave the very cosmos itself.

Several streaks of blood marred the Humanoid Shadow’s ethereal form—each claw mark etched into his soul by a Wolf Claw.

Opposing him was a massive wolf with deep purple fur, grievously wounded to the point of being unrecognizable. It resembled nothing more than the skeletal remains of a Blood Wolf.

Its flesh and fur had been entirely torn apart by Divine Light during the battle. Even its inner organs, shielded by its fractured bones, had suffered extensive damage.

Its partially shattered skull, despite the SSS-level Light of Life continuously operating at full capacity, still failed to regenerate.

The Divine Light left by the Humanoid Shadow was far too dreadful, burrowing into its body like parasitic worms, impossible to expel.

Once-pristine Wolf Claws, capable of obliterating mountain ranges, had been reduced to three. One claw had been forcibly broken by the Humanoid Shadow, leaving the Little Lone Wolf incapable of steadying it, even while floating in mid-air. It looked no different from a crippled house dog.

Yet, its aura of ferocity only grew more tragic, more unhinged under such dire injuries. Its pair of Wolf Eyes—now an indistinguishable color—remained locked viciously on the Humanoid Shadow!

It had been hours!

For hours, the Little Lone Wolf managed to hold his own and use the fortune of the Wolf Pack to stall the Humanoid Shadow in combat.

If this were to reach the ears of those who truly understood the strength of the Deity, they might find it laughable to the point of absurdity!

Let alone the Deity’s True Body—even the residual soul or any avatar of the Deity should’ve effortlessly smote this purple wolf!

A mere beast of the earthly plane—nothing more. The Deity should’ve been able to reduce it to ashes with a flick of a finger!

Even the Humanoid Shadow—seeing the Little Lone Wolf stand up once more and remain locked in combat—allowed a flicker of disbelief to flash through his fractured eyes. However, that disbelief quickly shifted into admiration, as a faint Spiritual Will reached out in the standoff between the two.
